Christmas Creations

A few of my Christmas creations.

This particular one was for children and I covered a Christmas tree pre shaped board with fondant and ribbon and added battery lights around the board to make it a bit more realistic and wrapped the battery pack to make it look like a present.  The cupcake toppers were handmade with sugarpaste and I used edible paints and dusts and were made so they could be used as Christmas decorations.

I also absolutely loved making this one for the same customer who loves dachshunds. The decorations on the top were all handmade with sugarpaste and on a cake drum which you could just lift off to cut the cake. I dotted royal icing for the snow

Mini Victoria sponges with strawberry buttercream inside and icing sugar sprinkled on top with Christmas stensils. I was so happy with how they came out. They are all sitting on little sliced pieces of wood which I made food safe by covering them all with edible sprinkles so the cakes sat on the sprinkles and no contact with the little wood slices.  I packaged up the little wood slices separately so they could be used once the cakes were taken out of their little boxes and put on display

The next few I made as Christmas tree decorations. They are all sugarpaste which hardens off and then decorated with edible paints (although they for decoration only) and finished with a little hole in the top and ribbon for hanging them. Quite intricate to do but loved the outcome
